April 13, 2017 – Scaling New Heights ’17 is right around the corner! From June 4-7, Woodard Network will host the annual QuickBooks training conference at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in sunny Orlando, Florida.
The theme of Scaling New Heights ’17 is “Face the Yeti”, a theme pulled from a bigger initiative, “The Epic Climb,” launched by Woodard at SNH ’16. “The Epic Climb,” according to Woodard online, is meant to “…empower accountants to reach new heights in their practice.” This year, the “Face the Yeti” challenge focuses on the QuickBooks community gaining courage for the “climb”.
Attendees from Acctivate this summer will be Dakota May, Erik Moeller, and Lauren Stine, leaving the rest of us sweating at our desks in Texas wishing for Orlando. Acctivate will also host two sessions at Scaling New Heights taught by guest instructors.
Acctivate’s sessions are broken down into two steps this year. The first session, “When to Step Out Beyond QuickBooks for Inventory Management” identifies the signs for advisors to look for when a client with inventory is growing beyond QuickBooks. The following session, “Inventory Management Beyond QuickBooks: What’s Next?” lays out next steps for businesses to take with the help of their advisors.
Course: When to Step Out Beyond QuickBooks for Inventory Management
Instructor: Mario Nowogrodzki
Time: Day 1 (June 4) 10 a.m. – 11:40 a.m.
Mario Nowogrodzki, consultant and owner of Mendelson Consulting, is back again to instruct an Acctivate session. The course, “When to Step Out Beyond QuickBooks for Inventory Management”, educates advisors on signs to look for when a client’s inventory exceeds QuickBooks capabilities and how an add-on solution can help. The course will explore the types of businesses managing inventory, investigate common inventory limitations of QuickBooks, and discuss both typical and complex inventory needs.
Course: Inventory Management Beyond QuickBooks: What’s Next?
Instructors: Mario Nowogrodzki and Keith Fileccia
Time: Day 1 (June 4) 12 p.m. – 1:40 p.m.
Keith Fileccia, Sr. National Accounts Manager at Mendelson Consulting, will co-instruct “Inventory Management Beyond QuickBooks: What’s Next” with Nowogrodzki. The course will pick up from where the previous course leaves off – what to do once you have determined QuickBooks inventory capabilities will no longer meet your client’s needs. The course discusses how QuickBooks add-ons can help a client remain with QuickBooks for financials, what an advisor should consider when recommending a QuickBooks add-on and how the recommendation will affect an advisor and his/her practice.
Scaling New Heights is a terrific place for the QuickBooks community to learn new techniques and trends, hear from talented speakers, experience a wonderful networking opportunity, and of course, to have a lot of fun! Acctivate is proud to be a sponsor of Scaling New Heights ’17 and can’t wait for Florida!
