Improved List Functionality
COMING IN VERSION 14
The left menu in Acctivate offers quick access to lists such as Customers, Sales, Products, Transactions, Vendors, Purchasing, and Activities. These lists have always made it easy to view detailed information, but they’re now even more powerful by enabling you to perform key tasks and manage customer and product details directly from the list view.
Customers
The Customer lists improvements include:
- The Price Check window can be accessed from the toolbar of the Customer window.
- You can attach files to a customer by clicking the Attachments button on the Customer window toolbar.
- Customer-specific Product IDs can be viewed and edited on the Product IDs tab, and new ones can be created using the Create menu.
- Customer contacts can be edited from the Contacts tab, and new contacts can also be added via the Create menu.
Products
The Products lists has add new functionality to make it easier than ever to manage product details.
- The Product list toolbar now includes a button for printing Product Labels.
- An Action menu has been added, allowing you to change a product’s status to Inactive, Discontinued, or Available on Web.
- Alternate IDs can be edited from the Alternate IDs card, and new ones can be added using the Create menu.
- Product Price Codes can be edited from the Prices tab, and new ones added via the Create menu.
- Product Vendor information is editable from the Vendors tab, with new vendor entries added through the Create menu.
- Product warehouse information—including management and last costs, stocking levels, primary location, and warehouse notes—can be edited from the Inventory tab. To stock a product in a new warehouse, use the Create menu.
- The Inventory view of the Transactions tab now includes an options On Hand column which provides a running total of the on hand quantity as a result of the posted transaction.
Transactions
The Transactions list is the primary way to view a posted transaction and its searchability and configurability makes it ideal for viewing draft transactions. Now, you can perform all transaction functions from this window, including:
- You can now add, delete, or split individual transactions.
- Entire sessions can also be deleted if needed.
- Draft transactions can be posted, and previously posted transactions can be voided.
Sales
The Sales list displays Sales Quotes, Sales Orders, Service Order, and Credit Memos. The Sales window has always provided an uncluttered look at sales information, however now users are empowered to take action.
All sales order processing functions that are available in the Enter Sales Order window are now available in the Sales list. Including:
- A sales order can be copied as either a Sales Quote or a new Sales Order.
- The Suggested Next Action button dynamically displays the recommended next step in the order process.
- An Action menu has been added, providing access to all order processing functions.
- Files can be attached to a sales document using the Attachments button on the Sales window toolbar.
Purchasing
The Purchasing list has provided a clear look at Purchase Orders. Now, all purchase processing functions that are available in the Enter Purchase Order window are available in the Purchasing list. Including:
- Purchase Orders can now be copied directly from the Purchasing list.
- The Suggested Next Action button dynamically displays the recommended next step in the order process, such as updating the status or proceeding with Receiving and Invoicing.
- An Action menu has been added, offering access to all PO processing functions.
- Files can be attached to a purchase document using the Attachments button on the Purchasing window toolbar.
Vendors
The Vendors list now supports editing Vendor Product IDs on the Products tab, and new ones can be created using the Create menu.
