Acctivate onboarding is designed to help you get up and running with confidence while building a solid understanding of how Acctivate supports your day-to-day operations. While every business is different, most customers are ready to go live in about two months, depending on data readiness and availability.
Throughout onboarding, you’ll work with an Acctivate Onboarding Specialist who guides setup, configuration, and training, and helps keep the process moving forward.
What to Expect During Onboarding
Typical 2 Month Timeline
PHASE 1
KICKOFF CALL
Your account representative introduces you to your Acctivate Onboarding Specialist. We will gather all of the information needed to create and configure a “Model” company in Acctivate with your QuickBooks data.
PHASE 2
MODEL COMPANY & TRAINING
Onboarding is in full swing. You are learning how to use Acctivate with your Model Company following our online training & you are participating in weekly calls with your onboarding specialist to keep you on track to meet your Go Live date.
PHASE 3
TIME TO GO LIVE!
At the end of 8 weeks, it’s time to Go Live. Your onboarding specialist will create & configure your live company based on the model setup. Your personalized documents and forms are ready to go.
PHASE 4
YOU’VE DONE IT
Your transition to Acctivate is complete and everything is running smoothly. Now, our Acctivate Support Team is ready to assist you.
Meet the Onboarding Team
With countless successful onboardings performed each year, you are in good hands with our Acctivate onboarding specialists. Your onboarding specialist will be with you from day one to assist in your understanding of Acctivate, making sure you have all the tools to be successful in your new partnership with Acctivate.


Assign a Project Manager
To get the most out of onboarding, we ask that you assign one primary internal team member to work directly with your Onboarding Specialist. This person should be:
- Available to attend all scheduled onboarding calls
- Involved in day-to-day operations
- Responsible for learning Acctivate in depth
We’re happy to include additional team members on calls as needed and can accommodate group sessions. However, having a consistent primary contact helps ensure continuity and allows that person to train and support the rest of your team internally.
The Model Company
Prior to using Acctivate live in your environment, a model company can be established using a snapshot of your QuickBooks® operational company data. This provides an excellent learning environment and prevents endangering actual company files. Try it out, play with it, and if you mess it up, no worries.
