Bonnie Emrick is an Onboarding Specialist for Alterity, Inc. Bonnie graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a B.S. in Information Systems. Bonnie considers herself to be both a big picture and detail-oriented depending on the situation at hand.
Bonnie takes pride in her work ethic, even when she is faced with complicated issues and difficult-to-achieve resolutions, she doesn’t stop working until she finds a solution. What Bonnie values most about her experience at Alterity thus far is working together with so many different people — co-workers and customers — to solve problems. This teamwork allows Bonnie to see different approaches and learn new methods for solving problems in the future. What brightens Bonnie’s day most about work is when the clock strikes 5 o’clock.
When Bonnie was little, she wanted to grow up to be several things — a hairdresser, bartender, professional reader, lawyer, etc. Her future professions evolved around what new things she was discovering a the time. As an adult, Bonnie is confident she would make a terrible athlete. If Bonnie could spend the evening in conversation with a deceased person, she would spend it with J. Edgar Hoover. Bonnie needs Hoover to explain himself, ask why his actions don’t add up on paper. Was he just misunderstood? And was pantyhose a normal addition to his everyday outfits?
What fascinates Bonnie most about technology is how something so simple and invisible (like electronic waves or signals) can be turned into something so complex and visible all around us. It is very organized, yet completely chaotic. In 5 years from now, Bonnie is unsure of where she’ll be as that is a long time to look ahead, but she hopes to be full of a joy and at peace with the choices she has made along the way.
